Besant Park

Just a few miles down the Trans-Canada Highway to the west lies Besant Park, often called an oasis on the prairies. People go there to camp, hike, cookout, swim, and fish. We went there for a picnic and some frisbee!

Daddy teaches Kate how to throw the frisbee, while Will looks on

This is fun!

What a stud!

Bridge over the Sandy River

Swimming pond

Kate was in a happy mood!

Will was fussier

With Daddy by the river

Here's a picture of a happy Will!

And he sure does like his big sister!

Oh, that looks so nice. Do you camp at all? We have friends that just camped with their 5 month old. They also camped when she was 8 mos pregnant. I don't know how they do it! Josh is really looking forward to the outdoorsy stuff: camping, fishing, hiking.

We love to camp! We don't really have the gear for it though. We will likely be going out to Banff later this summer and I had pretty much ruled out camping this time, due to Will's age. But then I wonder how your friend did it? I suppose if you have a good place for the baby to sleep safely, it could work?
